In the Get Ready section, we stressed the importance of choosing a location for your garden - well, we're doing it again!
- Make sure that you have chosen a location that gets the most sun throughout the day - stand outside at different times to be sure. Vegetable plants need at least 6-8 hours of sunlight to
- Orient your garden in a north-south direction to that the plants will get equal amounts of sunlight throughout the day.
- Once you have decided on the location of the beds, you can mark the spaces with stakes and twine or rope to mark the perimeter and to help visualize the spacing of the gardens and walkways.
