Heating and Cooling Audit
Lesson Description:
The following surveys should raise awareness of areas in the school building where conservation of heating and cooling is possible. Keep in mind that air temperature is affected by many, many variables. This means that every location is somewhat different. The direction a set of windows faces, vegetation outside the room, and the location of a room in the building will all change from room to room. Consider conducting this audit on a space by space basis. (Note: be sure to enlist the support of the administration, the custodial staff, and other teachers as needed to complete this audit.)
