Health, Pollution, and Safety
Lesson Description:
This lesson provides several activities that could take course over up to 2 weeks of classes, but the teacher could choose to use any number of the activities and still provide students with the knowledge necessary.
The activities explain health and pollution factors of the enviornment and air. Also, part of the lesson teaches about combustion, emissions, and fuel through case study research.
Objectives:
• To understand the impact of our current transportation system on public safety and on the human and environmental health of our communities.
• To understand the global importance of reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
• To identify ways that alternative fuels can alter local and global impacts.
