Trip Tally
Lesson Description:
With this Trip Tally activity plan students will better understand transportation's effect on pollution, and how they personally pollute their environment. The lesson provides graphs, charts, and guided discussions for the students to complete to guide their learning. Then the class could cumulate all of their results into one large chart, which would better demonstrate their community's effect on pollution.
Students will:
• Perform a simple atmospheric experiment.
• Collect, tabulate, graph, and analyze information on on how they get around.
• Compare advantages and disadvantages of different forms of travel.
• Communicate pollution reducing message on posters.
