Stabilization Wedges Game
Lesson Description:
Students will explore the options of cutting greenhouse gas emissions. They will discover that certain "wedges" of energy emissions need to be cut in order to avoid harmful environmental and health outcomes. Students will work together to find carbon-cutting solutions, and learn along the way that there is no clear cut answer to these issues.

- 1 copy of instructions and wedge table per student (print single-sided to allow use of gameboard pieces!)
- 1 wedge worksheet and 1 gameboard with multi-colored wedge pieces per group, plus scissors for cutting out
- game pieces and glue sticks or tape to secure pieces to gameboard
- optional - overhead transparencies, posters, or other materials for group presentation
