Energy on Public Lands
Lesson Description:
This lesson addresses how public lands in the United States have many energy resources, both renewable and nonrenewable. The lesson will show the multiple uses of the land also, including social, economic, and enviornmental factors.
There are several activities included, but can be separated depending on how many the teacher chooses to conduct. Within this lesson there is a basic introduction on the topic of public lands, history of the lands, energy resources, land resources and uses, and finally the role of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
