2012 Challenge Winners

Congratulations to the Green Chimneys School in Brewster, New York for winning the 2012 Green Thumb Challenge grant. With the $5,000 grant award, Green Chimneys School will complete necessary maintenance projects to be able to continue offering garden related curriculum and activities to their students.  Read about their amazing project.  GEF received over 200 grant applications from across the country. Congratulations and thank you to everyone who submitted an entry as every garden was unique and demonstrated the amazing things that happen when children are connected with nature.
